Uložení inflátoru airbagu řidiče mohlo být nesprávně svařeno. Pokud dojde k nehodě s aktivací airbagu, může dojít k roztržení inflátoru. V důsledku toho by pronikly kovové části airbagem a mohlo by dojít ke zranění posádky.
