Kvůli nesprávnému signálu od snímače rychlosti na výstupu může automatická převodovka sama zařadit nižší stupeň. Pokud k samovolnému podřazení dojde, mohou se až do zpomalení zablokovat kola, což by mohlo mít za následek ztrátu kontroly nad vozidlem.
