V důsledku nesprávného procesu montáže pneumatiky na kolo se může poškodit výztužná vrstva boční stěny. Za určitých jízdních podmínek by se proto mohly části vrstvy běhounu pneumatiky oddělit, což by mělo za následek snížení stability vozidla a zvýšení rizika havárie.
