Kvůli nedostatečnému utěsnění může do bowdenových lanek ve dveřích řidiče nebo předního spolujezdce proniknout voda. To může při teplotách pod bodem mrazu narušit pohyb vnitřního lanka.
V důsledku toho se mohou dveře samovolně otevřít, což zvyšuje riziko nehody.
